Here's a bit about John's background both on and off the court:
What is your main sport? Real Tennis
What is your proudest moment related to your primary sport? Winning the 2018 IRTPA Championships with both of my parents there cheering me on.
What are your current goals associated with your sport? To one day become World Champion.
Which other sports do you play? Squash, Rackets, Doubles Squash & Golf
What are your favourite cross training activities? Squash as well as going to the gym.
What do you do professionally? I am a Real Tennis professional working out of the Racquet Club of Philadelphia.
How do you use your Epirus Dynamic Duffel bag? I use it for training trips, weekend tournaments as well as day to day use.
What’s the weirdest item you keep in your racket bag? I keep a large supply of colorful headbands that I rotate depending on what color scheme I am in the mood for that day.
Do you have any superstitions or quirks that are part of your routine? I am a very superstitious person so I have an established routine before I play each match. I have a banana an hour before I play, always shower half an hour before, take my pre-match drinks and supplements exactly at the same time and warm up to my favorite playlist.
What's one part of your sport that you know more about than most people? I was given the nickname “The Hare” years ago because of my speed on court and obsession with keeping my hair-do in place during my matches, so I suppose I would be qualified to give advice on both!
